Our Rebanding Designs and Logos

Blog post 2

Story is a part of our modern and traditional DNA. And the values that sit behind the story become part of the reason why people stay with organisations or leave.

With the incredible artwork from Steve Bekue linking the waters that run through us as Saltwater people and as a community. We created logos and designs to accentuate the story in a modern way.

In the online design of the brand, the icon was taken directly from the artwork to link our business back to story and culture. A soft, rounded font was picked to make the brand feel approachable and the mix between bold uppercase with light lowercase text allows for a balance between a strong corporate professionalism with a modern, friendly and casual voice.

Elements such as circles, the ring of dots, and wave patterns were taken from the artwork and included as the core brand design to connect with the indigenous history but still sit in the corporate space. Then to support this visual story, we have brought in textures that represent water and flow as a visual representation of flow of communication and our flow of process.

For our colours, teal was chosen as a soft, calming and professional brand colour bordering between blue (stable, professional, trustworthy) and green (success, natural, grounded). This again affirms the calming and comfortable feeling the brand is trying to communicate to make the process of placing people first as seamless as possible.
